Quite the ‘Spectre’ as James Bond cars parade through Paris [Video]

In a spectacular display to promote the latest 007 movie Spectre, a veritable cavalcade of James Bond cars paraded down the Champs Elysée and past the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Sunday.

There were almost 20 cars in the parade from the Sunbeam Alpine that starred in the 1962 Dr No film, to the Aston Martin DB10 (pictured above) driven by 007 in the James Bond movie Goldfinger right through to the newer edition to be driven by James Bond in Spectre.

After standing on display at the Arc de Triomphe in the heart of the French capital, they slowly and elegantly made their way down the Champs Elysée, passing the Eiffel Tower on Sunday.

One car that was missing from the parade was the famous submarine car from the 1977 James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me.

The wonderfully iconic James Bond cars made a spectacular sight in Paris, as can be seen from the video at the end of  this article.

The newest addition to the 007 movies, Spectre, will be released in the UK on October 26 and in the US on November 6, with Daniel Craig in his last starring role as the iconic "Bond... James Bond."

Watch spectacular footage of humpback whales playing under the Aurora Borealis

A Norwegian photographer captured the most amazing footage of a group of humpback whales, playing under the Northern Lights off the coast of Kvaløya (Whale Island) near the city of Tromsø.

Harald Albrigtsen works as a photographer for the Norwegian state broadcaster NRK and often spends time capturing the Northern Lights on film in his home town of Tromsø.

One night he really got particularly lucky as he came across a group of humpback whales, playing in the light of the Aurora Borealis. He told NRK about the experience.
"On my journey, I suddenly came across a group of humpback whales that were playing in the Northern Lights. I went back the next day to see if I could come closer."

"After a few hours I had almost given up, but then they showed up again."
According to the Local, Albrigtsen used a new Sony A7 camera, which can capture images in extremely low light conditions, allowing him to capture the Northern Lights while also shooting moving objects.
"Many may be getting tired of standard Northern Lights photography. Now, there is an opportunity to capture living beings under the Northern Lights. The possibilities for creating new images are greater."

"It was a great feeling when I saw that I had managed to capture the whales under the Northern Lights for two days in a row. I didn't even know if they were in focus."

Watch the amazing footage in the video included below - you can even hear the whales as they play.

Jaws drop: Watch Steven Spielberg's disappointment over 1976 Oscar nominations

Video footage of a young Steven Spielberg is currently doing the rounds, showing his disappointment at not being nominated as Best Director for the popular movie Jaws.

We see him gathered with his friends, watching the 1976 Oscar nominations on TV.  While at the beginning of the video, Spielberg is very confident of the movie sweeping the Oscar nominations, it seems this was not to be.

You can see his reaction on getting the news that Jaws, despite dominating the box office that year, didn't do so well. With huge disappointment he exclaims, “I got beaten out by Fellini!”

Enjoy the video below.

Dildo Selfie Stick: Is this a real thing? Where can you buy it? [Video]

There's a video doing the rounds on YouTube which appears to be marketing a brand new magic toy for ladies the Dildo Selfie Stick.

However, while the video, as said, appears to be marketing the Dildo Selfie Stick, there are no links offered where you can purchase the snazzy gadget and thus no way for anyone to buy one of the darn things.

What the Dildo Selfie Stick purports to do is to allow a woman to pleasure herself, using either the standard dildo attachment or any one of her own personal toys, and at the magic moment, snap a selfie of their "O face."

The so-called female entrepreneur that came up with the idea does have a website, which points back to the same darn YouTube video, and also a Twitter handle.

So, while people online get all hot and flustered, imagining how they could use the Dildo Selfie Stick, and many think its the best idea ever, it looks like for the moment it is merely a prank.

It is also causing confusion among YouTube members commenting on the video, with one poor guy saying, "Instructions not clear enough, dildo stuck in toaster" and another commenting enthusiastically, "better than iPhone 6s."

A writer at Maxim Man, obviously seeing the potential, suggests that everyone tweet her like crazy until she is forced to actually produce the product — as he says, "The world needs O face selfies."

Until then, to put it like the lady does, "It's the first selfie stick which allows you to, well, stick it."

‘Pied Piper of Bangladesh’ wins award for killing 160,000 rats

It seems Bangladesh has a very serious rat problem. A farmer in Bangladesh has now been given an award as the national champion rat killer, after he and his team killed over 160,000 rats in the last 12 months.

Bangladesh officials announced Thursday that farmer Abdul Khaleq Mirbohor has been awarded 20,000 Bangladeshi taka (around $250) as a prize for getting rid of 161,200 rats in one year, a princely sum for a farmer in the country.

This is part of a nationwide campaign launched to protect grain from the ever hungry rodents.

Abul Kalam Azad is head of the Bangladesh government’s plant protection unit and he spoke to the media about the award.

“Mr Mirbohor is a passionate rat killer. During the ceremony, he told the dignitaries that nothing gives him pleasure (more) than killing grain-eating rodents,”

As for Mirbohor’s team, he hires mostly women volunteers to kill the rats in the paddy and wheat fields, retaining their tails as proof of the kill. The tails are then submitted to the regional agriculture office to be counted.

The 55-year-old farmer told AFP that he has been killing rats since 1996 and that he loves killing them.

“They are the enemy of the country and people. They devour grains, ground nuts and spread diseases.”

Reportedly the rodents destroy between 1.5 million to 2 million of tons of food each year in Bangladesh. According to government officials, in total farmers have killed almost 13 million rodents over the last year, saving food worth $25 million.

One government official, Borhan Uddin, said Mirbohor was “obsessed” with killing the rats and that his fellow villagers call him mad. “He is like a Pied Piper of Hamelin,” he added.

Elephants & Vultures Poisoned with Cyanide in Zimbabwe National Parks

According to Zimbabwe's National Wildlife Agency, suspected poachers have used cyanide to kill 14 elephants in Hwange National Park and elsewhere in the country since September 26.

Hwange, from where Zimbabwe's famous lion Cecil was lured and killed by an American dentist in July, is home to around 53,000 elephants.

According to Caroline Washaya-Moyo of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, six elephants were killed on September 26 in Hwange National Park and their tusks were removed.  Later, on October 2, game rangers found the carcasses of a further five elephants, killed after poachers had mixed cyanide with coarse salt and maize cobs to use as bait to poison the animals.

Washaya-Moyo said a further three elephants in a Kariba game park in the north had been poisoned using oranges laced with cyanide, bringing the total of elephants killed to 14. She added that so far no arrests have been made in any of the cases and that investigations are still ongoing.

Reportedly cyanide is widely used in the mining industry in Zimbabwe and thus is relatively easy to obtain. While poachers have used rifles and traps in the past to poach elephants in Zimbabwe, they apparently started using cyanide in 2013.

IOL quotes elephant conservation groups as stating that in 2013 as many as 300 elephants were poisoned at salt pans laced with cyanide, but the Zimbabwe government disputes that figure, saying only a few dozen animals had been killed.

Times Live reports that vultures, feeding on the elephants carcasses, were also poisoned and killed by the cyanide. According to that report, some of the elephants' carcasses still had their tusks intact, possibly indicating that poachers had not yet tracked down the dead animals.

Life on Mars: Dome in Hawaii Where Humans Prepare for the Red Planet [Video]

As everyone most probably knows, water has been discovered on the red planet of Mars. Before that even happened, humans started preparing for the possibility of living there.

The video below talks about six future crew members of a possible NASA mission to Mars, who are spending up to 12 months confined in a dome located in a Mars-like landscape in Mauna Kea, Hawaii. The purpose of the experiment is to find out how people react to each other in such close, confined surroundings, similar to what would be experienced on Mars.

Read more about the experiment on the Inquisitr here, or just enjoy the video below.

Russia Finds Brilliant Way to Stop People Illegally Using Disabled Parking Spaces [Video]

In probably every city in the world, certain parking spaces are reserved for disabled people and are clearly marked to that end.

However in many countries, drivers, too lazy to drive around looking for a free parking space, illegally use the disabled parking spots.

It turns out that over 30 percent of Russian drivers are guilty of taking disabled parking spaces and ignoring the signs on the ground.

A Russian non-profit organization called Dislife has come up with the perfect way to put a stop to the practice. They have installed holographic projections of a real disabled person that pop up every time a driver with no disabled sticker on their car tries to take the spot.

Watch the new holographic deterrent in the video below. This is a great idea to take up worldwide!

Body Of Missing Teenager Gone Since 2008 Found In Cabin Chimney

Joshua Vernon Maddux, 18, went missing in May 2008, but the mystery has finally been solved after his remains have been found in the chimney of a Woodland Park cabin.

The decomposed remains were found on August 7 in the chimney of a cabin that was about to be demolished in the Wildernest development near Rampart Range and Kelley’s roads in Woodland Park.

According to Chuck Murphy, owner of Murphy Constructors, the cabin was purchased by his parents 60 years ago. It was apparently originally the homestead of the Thunderhead Ranch, which was famous in the past for illegal gambling and other activities.

Murphy said his brother lived in the cabin for some years before making it into a rental and it has been standing empty for around 10 years. He said he would occasionally go to the cabin to check on it and eventually noticed there was a bad smell. Recently the cabin was up to be demolished, as part of a new development of 32 single-family homes but once the body was found, demolition had to be halted until the coroner had completed his investigation.

At a news conference Tuesday, Teller County Coroner Al Born said they used dental records to identify the body and that it was, indeed, Joshua Vernon Maddux. According to Born there was no sign of trauma to the body or foul play, saying it appears that Maddux voluntarily tried to gain access to the cabin via the chimney.

He said Maddux was a “tall, skinny kid” and was probably attempting to shimmy down the chimney, but ended up getting stuck and unable to get help. Reportedly there is a wood-burning insert in the fireplace inside the cabin, which makes it impossible to exit the chimney at the bottom.

The Gazette writes that an article written by Joshua’s sister, Kate Maddux, was published in the News of Woodland Park website Friday, describing Joshua as a "highly intelligent, kind, creative person and a talented musician.”

Kate Maddux continued in the article by saying ever since Josh went missing at the age of 18, they have assumed he may have decided to leave town to start a new life. Kate said she always chose to believe that this was the case, but that she always expected Joshua to return home to their father’s house at any time.
